Thailand is loaded with unique products to import into the US that can be sold on a wholesale basis, in a retail store, in special markets and online. Many are profiting with this kind of enterprise, and it is not so difficult to get started.
On this blog site, I have written in very general terms about importing product into the US. It can be a worthwhile enterprise for someone willing to put in the hard work of dealing with suppliers, shipping product from the other side of the world and developing a sales market at home. Most educated people can do this if they have the determination, eagerness and are willing to devote themselves to the project. There are countless books available online and elsewhere that can give anyone good training in these ingredients for a successful importing business. I won’t even try to compete with my own formula on this business, but I have been able to make importing product from Thailand work for me in the past, certainly enough to support my travel expenses and actually quite a bit more over the years. Now I am pretty much (semi) retired from all that but very willing to help others that might want to try it. I will say that the most essential ingredient is that you have a passion for the product and a passion for what you are doing.
